A NEW CAREER! To meet customer demand, we are currently recruiting drivers to join our top flight team on either a full or part-time basis.  We place a high value on driving skills but your approach to customer care will also be an important part of the job.  We can offer regular local work or more varied duties that include the opportunity to travel further afield!   Our full-time driving staff are salaried and thus assured of a year-round income but if you are looking for part-time employment, we’ll be happy to discuss a mutually beneficial working arrangement.

For an application form, please call 01778 342224 or e-mail us at

If you are not already on our mailing list, please call 01778 342224 or email to receive copies.  But if you can’t wait for the postman to arrive, email and we will be happy to email PDF versions of either or both brochures. You can also download them from the links on the Contact Us page of this website.

If you haven't travelled with us before (and even if you have), why not try one of our spring breaks?  Departures in March include:

Springtime in Somerset!  Our annual spring break with Warner holidays will be at the lovely Cricket St. Thomas country house hotel, set in acres of parkland and gardens.  Like all Warner hotels, you'll find there's a great choice of daytime activities, entertainment every evening and excellent leisure facilities.  5 days dep. Mon 19 March.  £450pp

‘On The Somme’.  Join our in-house expert, Derek, for a fully guided ‘battlefield’ weekend.  You’ll be staying in Arras and the tour includes a look at how gallantly the ‘Newfies’ fought at Beaumont Hamel and how troops from New Zealand cleared Owl Trench.  Also included will be the German Cemetery at Fricourt, which is the last resting place of the infamous Red Baron, and the Lutyens designed cemetery at Etaples, which is the largest CWGC site in France. 3 days dep. Fri 23 March.  £350pp

On March 26th we're heading to Paignton and then on Good Friday we have an Easter Weekend in the West Country.   April destinations include Lancashire's Coast & Countryside, Cornwall's Spring Gardens and Valkenburg plus minibreaks to Ludlow and Norwich and, in May, we are visiting some beautiful gardens in Kent and enjoying some spectacular train rides in Snowdonia!

If you would like to know more about our Door-2-Door holidays and you're a member of a local organisation, why not invite us to come along to one of your  meetings?  One of our most experienced team members, Les Staniforth, will come along and present an illustrated talk about our holiday and day tour programme - and also tell you something of our origins and subsequent development.  We are now taking bookings for dates in January, February and March 2019, so please call 01778 342224 or email if you would like to see if we are available on any dates that are convenient for you.

Good news if you're one of the many 'frequent flyer' customers, who travel with us on three (or more) holidays each year!  We will be continuing our Loyalty Discount in appreciation of your support - the more you book, the more you save!  Discounts are also available on many tours if you're a member of organisations like the National Trust and English Heritage.

WE'RE OPEN MON-FRI, 09:00-17:30. Call, email or better still, pop in to see us!

If you want to make an enquiry outside our office hours, please either leave a message on our answer phone (with your telephone number) or email us with your message or a request for us to call you when the office next opens.

Luckily, the snow came too late to spoil our 2018 Reunion Weekend, when we were blessed with gorgeous blue skies as we toured the beautiful scenic Malvern Hills and rural Herefordshire. We'd like to say a BIG thank to everyone who contributed to the success of the weekend – most especially the team at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre (including the glassmaker),the staff at the Hallmark Stourport Manor Hotel (especially the team on Saturday evening who made an old man (Chris!) very happy by joining in the dancing), the Abbey Hotel at Malvern and the Telford Hotel & Golf Club for our lunches, the guides at Weston Cider for a fascinating visit and, most importantly, our customers - you are the best!    Carl, Graham,Les, Sue, Jane and Chris, had a fabulous weekend with everyone.  We had (lots of) good food, good fun, and best of all caught up with so many old friends as well as making some new ones too.  Amongst the many highlights were a birthday and an amazing coincidence when due to a chance remark, one of our customers discovered that the lady sitting next to her was the little girl (not so little, now!) who had been her bridesmaid 64 years ago and who she hadn’t seen since the wedding.  Now that’s something that doesn’t happen every day!

Plans are now under way for next year’s Reunion Weekend at the Buckatree Hall Hotel on 8th February – watch this space for more details in due course!

Jane & Chris have been up to Lincoln for a preview visit to the new International Bomber Command Memorial, which is due to open officially in April.  Look out for this exciting new venue in our next day tour brochure.  They've also been to Shropshire to conduct some initial research for next year's Reunion Weekend.

We are thrilled to announce that we've been shortlisted in TWO categories at the British Coach Tourism Awards 2018 - for both our holiday and our day excursion programmes. The winners will be announced in March so watch this space!

Our super, new Spring/Summer day tour brochure is about to be delivered - and posted to everyone on our mailing list.  If you can't wait for it to come through the letterbox, send us an email and we will send you a PDF version.

Popular holiday choices in the last few days have included our Snowdonia's Little Trains and Liverpool & The Tall Ships in May - and Derek has been pleased to see some late bookings coming in for his 'On The Somme' weekend on 23rd March.

Popular day trip choices have included our Easter school holiday trip to York and the Great War Steam Fair at Beamish in April and all the flower shows.    Don't miss our Easter Sunday visit to Harewood House (used extensively as a location for the TV series Victoria) and containing a fabulous collection of Chippendale furniture.

The following departures are very close to being sold out so please call us asap for the last few remaining places:

26 March - Bakewell (market day)

6 April - Cambridge - now taking names for our cancellations waiting list

18 April - 42nd Street

9 May - Famous Graves

12 July - Tina Turner musical

9 October - Cliff Richard at Nottingham - 1 seat

Jane and Chris have both seen  42nd Street and loved it  - the tap dancing routines were fabulous, the stage sets and costumes were gorgeous and it's a really happy, feel-good show.  The reviews have been great and we are not at all surprised to see that bookings are already coming in for our new dates for both these shows!

Tory has been to see Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre and loved it!  Read her review of the show on our Facebook page.

We've had excellent feedback on our 'Famous Graves' tour of Highgate Cemetery and now have some seats available for yet another new date on Wednesday May 9th.

CONGRATULATIONS to the team at the Dunoon Hotel in Llandudno for being given the 'Best Hotel 2017' award from North Wales Tourism in November.  Other awards in 2017 were a second AA rosette for the food, AA Silver Star status in recognition of exceptional service and hospitality and a Gold Award from Visit Wales!  If you're impressed by this array of awards, then why not take a look at our 4th June holiday at the Dunoon (page 20 in our 2018 D2D Holiday Brochure)?

If you laughed out loud at Benidorm on ITV the other night, then don't miss the new stage adaption which will be touring later this year, with a whole new set of escapades as the show celebrates its 10th anniversary.  If you're a fan of Joyce Temple-Savage and her motley crew, then make sure you book your tickets for our 18th October date at MK Theatre!

'The Band' has opened to great reviews - book now to see this musical (based on the songs of Take That) at Nottingham on Wednesday 13 June.

There's a super new exhibition that's just opened at Tate Modern - Picasso 1932 Love, Fame & Tragedy.  It's getting excellent reviews so art lovers will be delighted to know that we are featuring a trip to see these wonderful paintings on Tuesday 21 August.

Now we’ve had a few nice spells of sunshine and the snowdrops and crocus are making a welcome return to our gardens, we need some inspiration to enhance our displays! You’ll find plenty on our annual visit to the Harrogate Spring Flower Show where themes along The Avenue range from a modern day Garden of Eden to the drama of the Yorkshire Moors!

If your garden has problem soil there will be a new feature showcasing common growing conditions – dark and boggy; hard clay; exposed or dry. Designers and landscapers will be rising to the challenge of creating great gardens offering solutions to even the most problematic soil conditions.

One of our favourite ‘murder mystery’ TV shows ‘Shetland’ has just returned to our screens and we all love the remote and rugged scenery as well as the stories! You can ‘Discover Shetland’ for yourself on our 7 days tour (of the same name) departing Tuesday 11 September! Cruise on the overnight ferry from Aberdeen to stay at the Shetland Hotel in Lerwick itself, the town often used in filming this series and, of course, there’s a full programme of enticing days out to enjoy! We’ll explore the Northern Isles of Yell & Unst and learn something of the Vikings when we see a replica Viking Long Ship and remains of an entire Viking settlement! See ‘The Drongs’ – the famous series of sea stacks – and you might spot some gorgeous Shetland Ponies at Tingwall too! Superb scenery, remote beaches, history and Scotland’s hospitality ensure a memorable holiday on this tour!

We are sending congratulations to the BW Glendower Hotel, St. Annes - with whom we have spent many a happy stay over the years – as they have won 2 new awards from Best Western! They have been named the ‘Most Improved Best Western Hotel’ and the ‘Best Western Hotel of the Year’ (medium sized hotel). Their message reads ‘Well done to all the team and thank you to all of our lovely customers who have made this possible’ so we are passing this on to all of you who stayed there with us on our popular, autumn Lakes and Lights Weekend last year (and to anyone who might like to book for this year’s trip on Friday 12 October)! Enjoy the best of both worlds on this tour – the excitement and colour of the spectacle of the Blackpool Illuminations, the quiet of St. Annes where we stay for 2 nights and the simply stunning scenery of the Lake District on our day out!

‘Tina’ – the Tina Turner Musical will hold its world premiere in London in March 2018. 42nd Street ‘The mother of all show-biz musicals!’ - all singing, all dancing spectacular with the biggest cast on the biggest stage! A fantastic musical score includes iconic songs ‘We’re in the Money, Lullaby of Broadway, Shuffle off to Buffalo, Dames & I only have Eyes For you’! Not to be missed so join us on Wednesday 18 April with the option of a yummy 2 course carvery lunch at the Strand Palace Hotel before the show to make the day extra special?

Kinky Boots at the Adelphi Theatre – heart-warming & feel good show filled with energy, joy & laughter, based on true events and with songs by pop icon Cyndi Lauper. From ‘Brit grit’ on the factory floor to the high-heeled catwalks of Milan! ‘Outstanding & uplifting’ this fun show is choreographed and directed by award-winner Jerry Mitchell of Legally Blonde & Hairspray fame – our departure is on Wednesday 11 April!

The King & I will be opening in the Spring at the London Palladium – a great and nostalgic show that has everything! Remember the wonderful Yul Brynner & Deborah Kerr film (who played the King and the Governess) with the lilting, familiar score and all those endearing children? Come with us on Wednesday 19 September!

Bat Out of Hell was a quick sell-out for us this year and we are pleased that it is coming back to the Dominion Theatre from next April! Jim Steinman’s smash-hit musical was Winner of Best Musical at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards 2017 and nominated for 8 WhatsOnStage awards in 2018!  This exhilarating tale of star-crossed lovers “changed the way musicals are staged forever” (North West End) with its boundary pushing spectacle, thrilling performances and Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf’s legendary hits! Join us on Wednesday 25 July!

Chicago – the hit American Musical opens in March and will bring the ‘Razzle Dazzle’ back to the West End!

Based on the Maurine Dallas Watkins play, Chicago tells the story of the young nightclub singer, Roxie Hart, (who is incarcerated and stands trial for murdering a man in her bedroom) her cell-block rival Velma Kelly and the smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn.

With music by John Kander and
lyrics by Fred Ebb enjoy the striking musical score including Razzle Dazzle, Cell Block Tango and, of course, All That Jazz along with the sharpest choreography! The West End run will be based on the UK and internationally touring production (with casting yet to be announced).

The show first opened on Broadway in 1975, and had a 15-year Olivier Award-winning revival London from 1997! Come with us on Wednesday 9 May to the Phoenix Theatre!

Hot Off the Press - CHICAGO - It’s just been announced that the Oscar-winning actor, Cuba Gooding Jr., is to make his British stage debut as Billy Flynn, the smooth lawyer who defends murderous singer Roxie Hart in prohibition-era America!

The revival features stunning, sharp choreography by Ann Reinking in the style of Bob Fosse, co-creator of the original production.

Probably best known for his Oscar-winning role as an American football player in ‘Jerry Maguire’ (1997), he made his Broadway theatre debut in the Tony award-nominated ‘The Trip to Bountiful’ in 2013 and has recently been seen on James Corden’s ‘Late Late Show’ breakdancing!

And don’t forget ‘old favourite’ shows like The Lion King (special price for Seniors) and Les Miserables!

Fed up with the dull dank days of winter or maybe just thinking about a change to your own green patch – then why not get inspiration on one (or more) of our stunning gardens &/or flower show trips?

World famous and for good reason – this show always sets the standard! The 10 new, beautiful, show gardens on Main Avenue will give you lots of ideas and the new ‘Space to Grow’ smaller gardens will inspire! Over 90 exhibits from the world’s best growers, florists and nurseries will be featured in the Great Pavilion. Regular exhibitors include Peter Beale’s Roses, celebrating their 50th anniversary this year with a new rose being launched at Chelsea!

Don’t leave it too long to book for Chelsea – we have to order our tickets mid-January!

Described as ‘a show that breaks boundaries and blends tradition with unexpected, innovative design’, this tour was an early sell out last year - not surprising with its beautiful setting of magnificent Chatsworth House as a backdrop and being so much more than ‘just a flower show’!

Besides the wonderful and innovative garden designs, new for 2018 will be a fantastic orchid filled conservatory full of tropical colour!

You can shop in the Cavendish and Devonshire Floral Marquees - home to nurseries, specialist societies and floral design and perhaps choose some food delicacies from local vendors supported by the Guild of Fine Foods (at the heart of the fine food world since 1995) in the ‘Great Taste Market’.  Taste and take home delicious and award winning local bakes, artisan coffees, fine cheeses, deli specialities, organic produce, heritage preserves and chutneys, fine wines and craft spirits from independent distilleries.

So much to see and do here!

Admission tickets have to be ordered at the end of the month!

HAMPTON COURT PALACE FLOWER SHOW – the world’s largest flower show!
