OUR LATEST COVID-19 UPDATE (AS OF 30.07.20)
First of all, we would like to thank you our customers – and our staff - for your continued kind words, and support in these strange times. Although some ‘lockdown’ restrictions are easing, the current social distancing rules remain a problem for our holiday and day tour operations. Our staff are all furloughed and our office remains closed to personal visitors and telephone callers for a while longer but we are receiving – and dealing with – letters and emails (please use the email@example.com address).
The government announcements that permitted hotels and some visitor attractions to open in July offer some hope that we may be able to start operating our holidays and day tours again in the not too distant future, but sadly not immediately. We need to allow time for venues to finalise and communicate their plans for group travel, which will include the implementation of new procedures and, in some cases, the full government guidance has yet to be made available to them. We will then need to evaluate the impact of these new procedures before we can decide whether we believe that it will remain an enjoyable experience for you and, above all, whether we feel that it can be safely undertaken.
Today we have made the difficult decision to extend our holiday cancellations. Any holidays that were due to depart on or before Monday 31 August have now been cancelled and letters will be sent to customers over the course of this week, along with a credit note that can be put towards a future booking or exchanged for a refund.
On a positive note, we have sketched out a plan for our next programme of day trips but we are not yet sure when this will be published, if you would like adding to the distribution list (either post or email) in preparation for its release just let us know. We are also working on our 2021 holiday brochure and happy to answer, as best we can, any questions you may have about specific dates and destinations.
We are happy to take provisional reservations for any of our 2020 holidays that are due to depart from 7 September onwards, or any day trip that is currently on sale. You can download our 2020 holiday brochure via the link in the top right, and you’ll find a list of day trips that are currently available to book just below this update. We would then confirm your booking once government guidelines on social distancing ease to the point where we are able to restart our exciting tour operations once again. Your provisional reservation does not commit you to the holiday or day trip, it just means that you have something to look forward to in preparation for safer times.
All holidays from 7 September onwards are currently scheduled to operate as normal but rest assured that we will notify customers if we have to make any further cancellations. Any balance payment due dates whilst the office is closed will be automatically extended until the office reopens.
If you need to cancel any forward holiday bookings for any other reason we will date your cancellation from the date that either an email or letter is received and forward your cancellation invoice for the deposit as soon as we can.
Our local Wednesday service between Peakirk-Newborough-Peterborough is currently suspended too but we will let you know when this is back up and running.
If you have been given a voucher that is due to expire before the end of October 2020, please email us the voucher number and we will arrange for it to be extended. On the other hand, if you would like to order any vouchers for friends/family in preparation for great days out and holidays, just let us know and we'll get them posted out.

The release of our summer day trip brochure is temporarily on hold during the COVID-19 outbreak but we will be releasing day trips for later in the year via our eNews and social media pages.
BREXIT: PLEASE CHECK YOUR PASSPORTS BEFORE YOU TRAVEL - The rules for travel to most countries in Europe will change when the UK leaves the EU. Customers should visit the HM Passport Office online passport checker on the governments GOV.UK website to see if you are affected and renew your passport early if necessary.
