Leave the 21st century behind and experience the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the industrial Black Country at this award-winning open-air museum. During the 19th century, smoke from thousands of iron foundries filled the Midlands air, described by Burritt as 'Black by day and red by night', and so the term Black Country was born. Explore the shops, houses and workshops that have been rebuilt in a canalside village where historical characters bring the 19th century to life. In 2024 three new shops opened on the 40s-60s High Street including the recreation of an iconic Stourbridge military surplus store run by a former German prisoner of war! Test your times tables in a 1912 school room, listen to the Talking Clock in a 1960s telephone box and head underground inside an 1850s drift mine and so much more! The museum has played host to numerous film crews including the notorious Peaky Blinders - a stroll through the museum's alleys will transport you back to the underworld! Discover everything there is to see at this fascinating and immersive site.

Customers love it here!"What a really enjoyable day", "Fantastic trip" and "It was a fantastic day".

Includes return travel, reserved coach seat and museum entry. The coach is due to arrive at 11:45 and depart at 16:45. There will be a short services comfort stop on the outward journey.
