This industrial town is famous for its exceptional historical importance and picturesque setting on the famous River Severn gorge. Known throughout the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, you'll now find that Ironbridge has restored its natural beauty and traditional shops and cafés line the pretty streets. Make sure to snap a photo in front of the iconic Iron Bridge - this pioneering structure was the world's first iron bridge, completed in 1779.
