St. Edmundsbury Cathedral makes a beautiful backdrop for a Christmas Fayre with 40 local stallholders showcasing everything from baked goods to jewellery, alongside daily entertainment too. Expect to see self-taught potter, Dawn Cornell, who creates unique pots, mugs and sculptures and Amber Charm who create sustainable jewellery that captures the beauty of the natural world, alongside many more. The Abbey ruins (managed by English Heritage) and the 14 acre, award-winning Abbey Gardens are a popular attraction. As part of the Abbey's Millennium Celebrations (that were postponed from 2020) you'll find a new Heritage Trail around the town and a changing Sculptures Exhibition in the Abbey Crypt.
