Our ‘Christmas at Chatsworth’ trips are always popular, so, here’s an opportunity to visit the house at a time when the gardens will be looking spectacular and when more of the majestic rooms are open to view, from the magnificent Painted Hall to the beautiful Sculpture Gallery, via regal State Rooms and the restored Sketch Galleries. Outside, the 105 acre garden is famous for its rich history, waterworks and sculptures and its Victorian rock garden. Included in your ticket is Chatsworth's new temporary exhibition Picturing Childhood. The mesmerising exhibition explores different representations of childhood found in art and literature from the Tudor period to the present day. Find out about all the wonderful things you can see and do at Chatsworth Estate.

We're due to arrive at 11:45 and depart at 16:00, house entry is booked for 13:15. There will be a stop at Notcutts Garden Centre in Nottingham on the outward journey.
