Journey deep into Derbyshire on the longest heritage railway in the county, all the way from Wirksworth Station to Duffield and back again. Watch from your window as the countryside gently passes you by, following the River Ecclesbourne from its source to its confluence with the River Derwent, complemented by a delicious cream tea, served to your seat.

There's free time to enjoy Matlock before your train journey. Find your way to Crown Square for a great choice of independent shops, cafés and pubs. Or maybe take a summer stroll around award-winning Hall Leys Park, which is usually full of colour in summer with views of Riber Castle in the distance.

Includes a return ride on the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway with cream tea, free time in Matlock, return travel and a reserved coach seat. The coach is due to arrive in Matlock at 12:00 and depart at 14:00 (setting down and picking up at the Railway Station Car Park). At 14:00 we will depart for Wirksworth Station, arriving at 14:45 in time for the 15:20 return train. Cream tea will be served on board and the train is due back into Wirksworth at 17:01. The coach will depart 15 minutes later. There will be a 45 minute comfort stop at Notcutts Nottingham on the outward journey only. Please let us know of any dietary requirements at the time of booking. Note: A mixture of diesel and steam engines run on this line and a particular locomotive cannot be guaranteed.
