Kew’s 28th Orchid festival draws inspiration from the unique flora and fauna of Madagascar, the world’s fourth largest island and home to Kew’s third research site. Madagascar’s lush rainforests, tropical dry forests and over 3,000 miles of coastline will be reflected in an extravaganza of themed floral displays and living installations, created by Kew’s team of horticulturists who'll transform the Princess of Wales Conservatory into a colourful celebration, which never fails to brighten up the winter months. Find out more.
And if that's not enough, you also have access to Kew Gardens. You'll find an 18m high Treetop Walkway, a towering interactive sculpture named 'Hive' that captures the life of the honeybee, 14,000 trees in the Arboretum including Giant redwoods and mighty oaks, 130 species in the Bamboo Garden (with its own traditional Japanese Minka House), a dramatic Rock Garden, 10,000 plants in the Temperate House, Arctic blooms in the Alpine House, an indoor rainforest in The Palm House, free daily talks and endless trails to explore ... the list goes on! Discover it all.
A special young persons fare of just £44 is available to anyone aged 16-24, just let us know in special requests.
We're due to arrive at 12:00 and depart at 16:15, giving you a full afternoon to enjoy this colourful fiesta. The coach will set down/pick up at Elizabeth Gate. There will be a short services comfort stop on the outward journey.
Please check Kew's website for any specific attractions that might require pre-booking.
