Discover one of the greatest archaeological detective stories ever told and immerse yourself in cutting-edge interactives that tell the fascinating story of Richard III’s life, death and the science behind his re-discovery. Turn detective and travel back through time to uncover the plot lines, birth rights and family ties that combined to create an intricate story of medieval murder, mystery and mayhem at this award-winning exhibition. The museum is centrally located and you'll have time for shopping or sightseeing after your visit. It's free entry to the sister attraction - the Medieval Guildhall - which is just a minutes' walk from here, guides will be happy to point you in the right direction.

Retired owner of Shaws, Jane, says "We received a warm welcome from staff who are clearly so proud of their city and its royal links. The ground floor tells the story of Richard's life and how he came to gain and lose his crown, as well as delving into the endless speculation as to whether he murdered the princes in the Tower. The first floor (there is a lift), moved firmly into the 21st century, focussing on the intensive research and archaeological activity that eventually led to the discovery of the King’s body and ending with a fascinating insight into the forensic science that enabled the remains to be identified - it was like being in an episode of Silent Witness!".

Includes museum entry, return coach travel and a reserved coach seat. The coach is due to arrive at 11:00 on Southgates, a visitor centre guide will meet you here before entering the museum. The coach will depart at 16:00.
