On the second Tuesday of each month Lincolnshire Coop arrange a ‘Roman History Walk’ and Lincoln Cathedral host ‘The Mindful Mile’. These free wellbeing walks are designed to get your feet and your brain moving, with a warm welcome guaranteed and no need to pre-book. The Roman Walk departs from outside the Tourist Information Centre on Castle Square at 14:00 (arrive 5-10 mins before the start time to register). The walk lasts from 30-90 mins, covering easy terrain at a steady pace. The Cathedral's 'Mindful Mile' covers three laps of the Cathedral at a gentle pace whilst leaders share a topic of interest. If you wish to join, meet at the West Front of the Cathedral at 12:30. Alternatively, to explore on foot at your leisure, download this 2.7 mile walking guide from Countryfile that features the cathedral, castle and arboretum.

There's free time to explore the cobbled streets of Lincoln's Cathedral Quarter which is full of history and home to independent shops and boutiques or The Cornhill Quarter which is an exciting social area in the heart of the city with tasty food and drink options alongside unique independents. Lincoln Cathedral is one of Europe's finest Gothic buildings and home to a 15th century collection of books above the cloisters in "the most beautiful room in England". In summer 2022 Lincoln Cathedral emerged from an astonishing 40 year restoration project to the outer brickwork - an impressive sight not to be missed! Lincoln Central Market is open daily with stalls inside and outside of City Square. It's adjacent to Waterside Shopping Centre - a modern complex full of all your favourite high street brands. You can enjoy free entry to the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, home to nearly 250,000 objects including an authentic World War One tank! Head to the Visit Lincoln website to start planning your day.

Includes free time in Lincoln, free wellbeing walks, return travel and a reserved coach seat. The coach is due to arrive at Saltergate at 11:00 and Northgate at 11:15 (two drop points). The coach will depart from Northgate at 16:30 and from Saltergate at 16:45. The last departure time is 09:45 and the first drop off time is 18:00, both from Morton Bus Stop. Timings are subject to traffic conditions.
