Don't miss another Great Day Out. Join our eNews to make sure you're the first to hear about our latest releases.

The Royal Arcade, The Norwich Lanes, The Cathedral Quarter, Elm Hill and Magdalen Street are all locations where you’ll find the lion’s share of independent shops in Norwich. Boutiques, antiques, second-hand books, collectable teddy bears, galleries, lifestyle, jewellery, beauty, local crafts and vintage. As well as Jarrold - Norwich’s only award-winning independent department store over five floors including wine bar, deli and seafood restaurant. Castle Quarter and Chantry Place are the malls to visit for all your high street favourites.

The Tunnel of Light, with its mesmerising 57,000 LEDs, returns to Hay Hill as does festive projections onto the 70ft walls of Norwich’s medieval castle. Quite a sight in Norwich after dark. Both are here (for free) until 5th Jan 2023. In between shopping and sightseeing stop for a fragrant Glühwein at Sir Toby’s Beers, Norwich’s smallest bar. With or without a top up of rum or brandy this is a great place to people watch and slow down to enjoy the ambience of Norwich and its Christmas lights.

Norwich open-air market was named Best Large Outdoor Market in the Country in the 2019 Great British Market Awards. It features an exciting mix of quality local food set beneath traditional colourful stalls - and looks particularly special at Christmastime. And for a bit of history, head towards the 315-ft spire that towers above the beautifully preserved 900 year old Norman Cathedral - one of the finest in Europe and regularly playing host to free art exhibitions in its uniquely medieval, yet modern, exhibition space.

Head to the Visit Norwich website and start planning your next Great Day Out.

We’re due to arrive at 11:45 and depart at 16:30. The coach will set down at Castle Meadow and we'll have a short stop at Dobbies Garden Centre in Kings Lynn en route.

If you're planning to visit any of our suggested attractions, please check with the venues for opening times, any entry fees and pre-booking requirements before departure.
