Start the day in Whitby where you'll have time to wander along the quaint alleyways and maybe treat yourself to fish and chips for lunch. Whitby boasts two excellent beaches, a choice of lengthy piers and a bustling harbour, all of which are lovely spots to enjoy the summer sea air. 

This afternoon, hop aboard for a nostalgic train journey through 24 miles of incredible scenery, all the way from Whitby to Pickering on this carefully preserved heritage line that recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. The line runs all the way through the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors National Park, passing timeless stations along the way. A wonderful experience, not to be missed.

Includes return travel, reserved coach seat, free time in Whitby, a journey on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and free time at Pickering Station. The coach is due to arrive in Whitby at 12:00, setting down near the Co-Op on Langbourne Road. Please meet at Whitby Station at 13:50 for the 14:10 train to Pickering. The train is due to arrive at Pickering's 1930s themed station at 15:50 and the coach will depart from Pickering Bus Lay-by on The Ropery at 17:00. There will be a services comfort stop on the outward and return journey. Please let us know if you use a walking aid / wheelchair so that we can inform the railway.
