Explore coast and country on this nostalgic day out in Norfolk. Start and finish your day in the Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham where the award-winning family beach is just a stone's throw from some lovely local shops that line the bustling High Street. Look out for pink-fronted Winibees Bakery who sell the most tempting cakes in town, Stubby's Pizza who always have new and unusual toppings, Fat Teds Street Food for the ultimate grab and go, delicious local ice cream from Ellie's, gifts galore at Creativity and even a new crumble-inspired take-away on the corner of Gun Street. This traditional fishing village has lovely scenic walks along the promenade to enjoy in summertime.
From the top of the High Street you'll board a vintage engine from the traditional station, on The Poppy Line, part of the North Norfolk Railway. Watch from your window as summer scenery passes you by, travelling across coast and country, all the way to the Georgian town of Holt. At Holt Station, discover a model railway and beautifully preserved goods vehicles before returning back to Sheringham.
Include return travel, reserved coach seat, return rail ride on The Poppy Line and free time in Sheringham. The coach is due to arrive in Sheringham (Station Yard Car Park) at 12:00 with free time to enjoy this lovely seaside town before the train departs at 14:20 for your return journey to Holt, arriving back in Sheringham at 15:42. The coach will head home at 17:15. There will 45 minute comfort stop at Sandringham Visitor Centre on the outward journey.
