For over 900 years Southwell Minster has been welcoming visitors, with hospitality at the heart of their offering. Start with a tour of this magnificent Minster with a knowledgable and friendly guide, who will take you to all the areas of the Minster - including the glorious Chapter House which has reopened following the completion of an impressive conservation project. During the tour you'll uncover incredible architecture, intricate stained-glass, Roman plasterwork and of course The Leaves of Southwell which were voted number one in the Association of English Cathedral's prestigious #CathedralTreasures competition.
There's free time to enjoy the charming town of Southwell at leisure before we continue to Reg Taylors Garden Centre and The Swan Sanctuary. This peaceful Swan Sanctuary features five beautifully landscaped lakes that have become a tranquil home for rare and endangered species. Wander along the paths and pause as you enjoy these peaceful surroundings. Take time to pop into the garden centre and tea room whilst you're here too.
Includes return travel, reserved coach seat, guided tour of Southwell Minster, free time in Southwell, entry to The Swan Sanctuary. The coach is due to arrive in Southwell at 10:45 ready for your guided tour at 11:00, the tour is expected to finish by 12:15 with free time to enjoy the town before we depart for the Swan Sanctuary at 14:00. We'll arrive at 14:20 and head home at 16:45.
