Enjoy a two-hour afternoon cruise on the tidal Deben Estuary, a Special Protection Area that lies within the Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB. Listen to interesting commentary about the river’s rich wildlife and history whilst enjoying a scone with jam, butter and a cup of tea/coffee. You'll sail on the Jahan, an all weather, 38ft boat that has proved very popular with our customers, "I had a lovely day out on the Suffolk lunch cruise. Jason's driving was excellent".
Before your cruise, spend time in Suffolk's beautiful market town of Woodbridge, on the banks of the River Deben and just on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There's a great choice of shops and restaurants, and a wander along the riverside paths will lead you to an 800-year-old working Tide Mill - one of only two left in the country! You may even be lucky enough to spot a local seal as you make your way there.
Includes return travel, reserved coach seat, cruise and tea/coffee with a scone and jam. The coach is due to arrive in Woodbridge at 12:00 and will depart at 14:00 for the short transfer to Deben Cruises for the 14:30 sailing, returning to dock at 16:30. The coach will head home shortly afterwards. There will be a short stop at Cambridge services on the outward journey.
