Relax and enjoy a leisurely stay by the sea in this popular South Coast resort. Our hotel is right on the sea front so you can spend your free time perched in a deck chair on the beach with a good book, stroll along the Pier, explore the quirky shopping area known as ‘The Lanes’, visit the exotic Royal Pavilion or enjoy a bird’s eye view of the resort from the i360.

We'll visit Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens which has been subject to the largest garden restoration in England. A special 'Walk of Life' exhibition is now open and is here until spring 2023 only. Wander amongst dramatic sculptures from South African artist Anton Smit in the Sculptute Park and Art Gallery.

Sussex Prairie Gardens are open for limited dates only, click here to take a look around one of the most relaxing gardens you may ever visit! They've just won three architectural awards for The Dutch Barn, the owners stunning, and sympathetically designed, home.

Read our 2021 customer comments: "Lovely holiday, hotel breakfast consistently good", "Very good tour, really enjoyed it, no outings disappointing.", "Enjoyed having a day to explore Brighton, hotel is in an excellent location.". Here's what our super driver, Graham, had to say about the 2021 tour: "Highlights for me were the Bluebell Railway through lovely countryside on a sunny day, the Amberley Museum with a fascinating range of rare and unusual exhibits and the Sussex Prairie Garden where we enjoyed an excellent guided tour by owner and designer, Pauline.".

Monday

Travel to Brighton and enjoy complimentary tea/coffee on arrival at the hotel.

Tuesday

Enjoy Brighton at leisure. Your hotel is within 5 minutes’ walk of some of Brighton’s main attractions including The Pier, The Royal Pavilion and The Lanes. Walk a little further along the seafront and you can experience Brighton from 450ft on the British Airways i360 Viewing Tower!

Wednesday

Enjoy a morning journey on the Bluebell Railway through pretty the Sussex countryside. Your return ticket covers the 11-mile heritage stretch between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead, passing traditional stations along the way. Then on to Britain’s largest “Prairie,” or “Naturalistic,” garden. This 8 acre garden, planted by family and friends and surrounded by mature oak trees, features large, planted borders that you’re encouraged to roam amongst.

Thursday

Step back in time during our morning visit to the fascinating Amberley Museum on the South Downs. It’s dedicated to the history of local industry and crafts and features a diverse collection, ranging from a narrow-gauge railway to a print workshop and traditional crafts like the smithy and the pottery. Spend a summer's afternoon at leisure.

Friday

Depart, after breakfast, visiting Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens, on our way home. These Grade I listed, ancient gardens reopened in 2019 following a huge restoration project. In the summer months, you can expect to see flowering Polar Bear Rhododendrons and sweet smelling Viscosum Azaleas. Take time to enjoy the walkways through parkland, forest areas and the Victorian Rock Garden, passing seven tranquil lakes and looking out for wandering wallabies, deer and stoats along the way.
