This tour has now departed but don't worry, we've got lots more holidays to choose from.

Savour the delights of Harrogate, where you can indulge in an antiques hunt, lunch at the famous Betty's tearoom, stroll through the Valley Gardens and enjoy the independent boutiques that line the streets and arcades. With its handsome historic buildings and verdant gardens, it’s one of Yorkshire's most elegant destinations and, on top of that, it’s surrounded by the spectacular countryside that so many of us have enjoyed viewing on the recent revival of ‘All Creatures Great & Small’.

Tour ref: B3334

Monday

To Harrogate, where a refreshing cup of tea or coffee will be waiting for you at the impressive Majestic Hotel.

Tuesday

Celebrate Yorkshire’s most famous vet as we pay a morning visit to the World of James Herriot museum, the fully-restored site of his original 1940s home and veterinary practice (known in his books as Skeldale House) in Thirsk. Then sit back and enjoy the views as we drive on to Grassington, the beautiful Dales village that was transformed into Darrowby during the making of the recent Channel 5 series.

Wednesday

At leisure in Harrogate but with the option to prebook our morning excursion to nearby RHS Harlow Carr Gardens. Take the coach both ways or maybe you’d like to stroll back – it’s a lovely walk through the Pine Woods back to Valley Gardens, taking about an hour at a leisurely pace?

Thursday

Today’s tour takes in the charming Dales towns of Masham, Leyburn and Hawes and Wensleydale’s spectacular scenery. At Hawes, we include a visit to the Dales Countryside Museum for a fascinating glimpse of life in the Dales through the ages.

Friday

Our journey home includes a visit to magnificent Harewood House, one of the Treasure Houses of Great Britain. Built in the 18th century, Harewood has a fabulous art collection, an impressive display of Chippendale furniture and a rare Bird Garden all set amongst an exquisite landscape.
