Monday

Marvel at the colossal Grampian Mountain Range as you settle in at your riverside hotel, at the foot of Loch Tay.

Tuesday

Pass lochs, mountains and forests as you make your way to Fort William on the shores of Loch Linnhe. There’s the chance to see the Commando Memorial situated on Glen Spean, offering wonderful views of Ben Nevis – the highest mountain on the British Isles. There’s free time to wander in the town before setting sail on a wildlife experience like no other, during a two-hour cruise to ‘Seal Island’. The passionate skipper will introduce you to the local residents, including Common and Atlantic Grey seals, porpoises, red deer and sea eagles.

Wednesday

Wake up on the wild side this morning with a tour and tasting at The Glenturret Distillery. This distinguished single malt whisky embodies the rich heritage of Scottish whisky making – it is the oldest working distillery in the country! Continue to the picturesque village of Dunkeld on the banks of the River Tay. Hunt out local shops along the High Street and marvel at the Thomas Telford bridge before returning to the hotel with a scenic drive along the shore of Loch Tay.

Thursday

Incredible terrain awaits as we follow the shores of Loch Lomond and Loch Goil then over the incredible ‘Rest and Be Thankful Pass’, pausing at the historical viewpoint which sits at an impressive 800ft above sea level, before arriving in Inverary. There’s free time to explore this traditional county town, on the shores of Loch Fyne, before visiting Inverary Castle. This is no ordinary family home – Clan Campbell arrived in Argyll c.1220 and never left. Their rich heritage is reflected in the impressive collections inside this fairytale turreted castle – designed by the same architect that created Blenheim and Castle Howard. The award-winning gardens burst into life in April – famous for its daffodils, Rhododendrons and Azaleas. Note: No lift in the castle.

Friday

As the Campbell Clan motto goes ‘Ne Obliviscaris’ (forget not) – and it’s time to head home.
