Sunday

Check in and relax, after a scenic drive to the hotel.

Monday

Visit the picture-postcard, pastel-coloured harbour town of Portpatrick, where cliffs surround the small bay. Then experience the exotic at Logan Botanic Garden where an almost sub-tropical climate enables fascinating plants from around the world to flourish! This afternoon we’ll visit Castle Kennedy Gardens where you’ll find a famous collection of rhododendrons, a riot of colour in the Walled Garden & rare Victorian waterlilies in the round pond – with the impressive castle ruins as a backdrop.

Tuesday

Look for the distinctive shape of Ailsa Craig as we take the coast road to the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum which holds over 5000 artefacts and the opportunity to visit the humble cottage where life began for Scotland’s national poet. Then to cliff-top Culzean Castle with over 40 buildings and secret follies to discover in the surrounding Country Park. Designed by Robert Adam in the late 18th century, this treasure trove is bursting with artefacts from one of the oldest clans in Scotland.

Wednesday

Travel inland, stopping for a wild deer and bird of prey photo opportunity at the Red Deer Range before arriving at The Clatteringshaws Visitor Centre for a quick lunch break with tranquil loch views. This afternoon, learn about local farming traditions during a ‘Kitchen Coos & Ewes’ guided tour on a passenger trailer. Also included is a sheep shearing demonstration and a refreshing cream tea!

Thursday

Enjoy endless views as we make our way home.
