Tuesday

To the coast, this morning, for a charming ride on the Great Orme Tramway, departing from Victoria Station in Llandudno. Lovingly restored tramcars have been delighting visitors since 1902 and at the 679ft summit, on a clear day, you're rewarded with views as far as the Isle of Man. At the Halfway Station, observe the powerful funicular system in action and at the summit a Visitor Centre and cafe awaits. Enjoy even more views from the longest pier in Wales (which won Pier of the Year 2025) with free time in Llandudno before an afternoon at Bodnant Garden (NT). Be greeted with a garden highlights tour before exploring at leisure - Bodnant truly is a spring garden and should be absolutely bursting with colour as the rhododendrons and azaleas peak. Note: Bodnant has uneven terrain, volunteers can suggest less challenging routes.

Wednesday

The Ffestiniog Railway is the world’s oldest narrow-gauge railway, taking you on a breathtaking journey from Porthmadog Harbour, climbing an incredible 700ft above sea level, to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Cling to the mountain sides, past lakes and waterfalls, on an unforgettable 13.5-mile journey. Cameras at the ready as we take a scenic drive through the National Park to Betws-Y-Coed. This famous little town is surrounded by glacial landscapes, nestled between two waterways and full of inviting little cafés and shops.

Thursday

Cross the Menai Bridge to the Isle of Anglesey and board an 80-minute Seacoast Safari to Puffin Island. Informative commentary will guide you through the resident and visiting birds, you may even be lucky enough to spot a dolphin! There’s free time to enjoy the delightful seaside town of Beaumaris before finishing the day at leisure in Caernarfon. Wander through the pretty streets, watch boats bobbing on the water and soak up those distant mountain views, one last time.
