This tour has now been and gone but don't worry, we have lots more relaxing holidays to choose from.

As well as hosting UNESCO World Heritage Sites and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Shropshire’s other great attraction is that it remains relatively unspoilt and a joy to visit. The Gorge at Ironbridge was awarded World Heritage status for its role as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and you’ll find the world’s oldest working cast iron bridge here.

Tour ref: C3329

Monday

We’ll stop at Cosford’s RAF Museum before enjoying welcome refreshments on arrival at the hotel.

Tuesday

Enjoy a scenic ride via Wenlock Edge to the charming market town of Church Stretton, fondly referred to as ‘Little Switzerland’ for its beautiful natural surroundings. Then on to 13th century Stokesay Castle, one of the best preserved fortified medieval manor houses in England. You can enjoy beautiful views over the Shropshire countryside from the tearoom, great hall and the top of the tower. Finish the day marvelling at the stunning, medieval architecture in the lovely town of Ludlow.

Wednesday

Spend the day exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Ironbridge. Your ‘All Sites’ ticket gives you access to all the attractions, including the Victorian Town at Blists Hill, where costumed guides give visitors an insight into life during the reign of Queen Victoria.

Thursday

Visit Shrewsbury, where you’ll find over 600 listed buildings – and some very strange street names! Enjoy a relaxing cruise on the River Severn but also plenty of time to sightsee. Mid afternoon, we head over to Love Plants for a cream tea and the opportunity to seek out some fantastic outdoor plants and great advice from the dedicated team of horticulturists.

Friday

Before we go home, there’s time to visit Bridgnorth and to stop off at the popular Jinney Ring Craft Centre.
