We are seeking a reliable and attentive School Bus Chaperone to assist with the safe transit of primary school children to and from school. The role involves supervising children during their journey, ensuring their safety, and supporting a calm and orderly environment on the bus.

The Role

• Mon-Fri 
• Morning: 08:40 to 09:40
• Afternoon: 15:15 to 16:00
• £22 per day
• Term-time only
• Based at 49 High Street, Maxey, PE6 9EF
• Start date is flexible but ideally asap
• Training and guidance will be provided

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during pick-up and drop-off times on the school bus
• Ensure all children are seated safely and wearing seatbelts where applicable
• Maintain a safe and positive atmosphere during transit
• Assist children as needed when boarding, for the duration of their journey, and when leaving the bus
• Communicate effectively with parents, the driver, and school staff regarding any concerns
• Respond calmly and appropriately to any incidents or emergencies

Requirements

• Must be attentive, responsible, and enjoy working with children
• Good communication skills
• Ability to maintain order and safety during transit
• Enhanced DBS check (provided by the business)
• Punctual and reliable for scheduled hours
• Experience in a similar role would be an advantage
