This 600-year-old castle looks beautiful all year round but at Christmastime, when the rooms are beautifully decorated with welcoming log fires and twinkling Christmas trees, it becomes magical. Outside, as darkness falls, The Nutcracker Trail illuminates the gardens and lake, bathing this magnificent landscape in festive light with a carousel and big wheel adding to the nostalgia (rides to be paid on the day). There’s the chance to see the Castle’s major new exhibition - Capturing a Queen: The Image of Anne Boleyn - exploring how Anne Boleyn has been portrayed through history. A world-first featuring the largest ever collection of portraits, imagery and costumes from film and TV, including a ground-breaking newly identified contemporary image unveiled for the first time.
Includes entry to the castle and gardens, return travel and a reserved coach seat (of your choice). The coach is due to arrive at 13:30 and depart at 17:30. There will be a services comfort stop on the outward and return journey. Please note that you will need to cross the road from the coach park to access the main entrance, the castle's first floor is accessed via a stone spiral staircase and the third floor is accessed via wide wooden steps.
