Lights twinkle above and the historic docks provide a scenic backdrop as you wander through over 120 traditional wooden stalls, tempting you in with delicious festive food and artisan crafts. Spend the day at Longleat who always put on a spectacular show at Christmastime. Begin with a guided tour through Longleat House, one of the finest examples of Elizabethan architecture in Britain. Your guide will share house secrets from its completion in 1580 to the present day. Then, it’s time to meet the animals! Get up close to koalas and red pandas in the Walking Safari, adventure on a Boat Safari to meet a new pod of hippos, get lost in Britain’s biggest maze and be tempted by the market huts in Main Square. Rest your legs this afternoon as you re-board the coach to adventure on a Winter Drive-Through Safari, spotting inquisitive species from around the world from the comfort of your seat. As darkness falls, Longleat Festival of Light brightens the night sky! Let your imagination run wild as you wander through this unmissable, awe-inspiring lantern experience. This year’s entrancing theme is ‘Legendary Worlds’ – step inside a glowing world of myths and heroes as the lost city of Atlantis, Thor’s battle, towering giants and fearless dragons come to life through over 1,000 shining lanterns.
