Monday
Check in at your coastal hotel with a free bar from 6pm. Soak up views of Cornwall’s iconic Fistral Bay as you settle in this evening.
Tuesday
One of Cornwall’s top attractions awaits this morning - The Eden Project. Transport yourself to paradise in the Mediterranean Biome as sweet aromas fill the air and gnarled olive trunks tangle around you. Adventure into the humid tropics inside the Rainforest Biome where an accessible canopy walkway offers an unimaginable view. Explore a world beyond your senses in the Invisible World Exhibition which shines a light on our fragile world. There’s a packed lunch included and a traditional Cornish Cream Tea will be waiting for you when we return to the hotel mid-afternoon, before you make the most of the free bar tonight!
Wednesday
Cornwall's unique climate allows the region's farmers to produce some delicious seasonal produce. Spend the morning in Truro, Cornwall’s only city, where you’ll find that the weekly Farmer’s Market on Lemon Quay is in full swing. See some of the finest Victorian stained glass in the country at the Cathedral (donation entry) and uncover talented local artists at Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery (entry approx. £10). Then, it’s back to the hotel to warm up with a hot buffet lunch and a free bar this evening. Perhaps make use of the hotel’s stunning leisure facilities, explore the scenic coastal path, or take the local bus into nearby Newquay.
Thursday
Take the coast road to Padstow this morning and soak up some fresh sea air – perhaps pick up a warming alfresco coffee to enjoy on the harbour edge or make the most of this window shoppers’ paradise as you wind your way through the boutiques. This afternoon you’ll be introduced to the characters and crimes that shaped Cornwall’s murky past through immersive storytelling and special effects at Bodmin Jail. Your experience begins with an award-winning 4D cinematic experience, aptly named The Dark Walk, and continues with a heritage guide who’ll recount tales of infamous inmates and evil goings on! Note – steepish walk from coach drop to Bodmin Jail entrance and the guided tour is standing with limited seating.
