The Prairie is an accredited RHS Partner Garden where you’re encouraged to walk right into the flower beds for a unique horticultural experience! This summer, there’ll be a special outdoor sculpture exhibition entitled ‘Rooted’ featuring inspiring pieces from regional artists. At Amberley, the mainly open-air museum is a truly nostalgic day out, featuring a higgledy-piggledy, replica village garage from the 1920s (not dissimilar to our own buildings from the same era!) and a re-created 1930s telephone exchange, that actually serves as the Museum’s internal phone system.
If you’ve got your eye on summer in Scotland, then look no further than the Galloway coast, where Castle Kennedy Gardens describe themselves as ‘A Hidden Scottish Treasure’ - we wouldn't argue with that! Surrounding the haunting 16th century castle ruins is a tranquil horticultural haven featuring a canal lined with Cordyline, intersecting grass paths in the Walled Garden and a simply perfect Round Pond with serene loch views.
